In this role, you will: Utilise AutoCAD or MicroStation (and other related software tools) to create detailed models and drawings for estimating, procurement and construction activities Perform a variety of drafting tasks while adhering to industry and company standards This position is ideal for both intermediate and senior CAD Technicians. Responsibilities Typical Responsibilities: Discuss designs with the engineering team, following instructions for developing a design, working from a computer model of the item, or changing detailed diagrams so they can be easily followed Take physical mark ups from engineers and create drawings Work as part of a team assigned to a specific area of a project under supervision Produce 3D and 2D drawings (solid and surface modelling) Understand equations, calculations, and written instructions from engineers before beginning a CAD drawing Use notations and symbols to give instructions on drawings Revise drawings based on instructions from engineers Potentially visit sites to collect data for drawings Create as built or revised designs from existing drawings as requested Qualifications What makes you remarkable? Expected: Minimum ISCED (International Standard Classification of Education) level 3 (Upper Secondary/High School O'levels/ GCSEs or equivalent) as a minimum; and/ or ISCED Level 4 (post-secondary non-tertiary) or 5 preferred (short-cycle tertiary or equivalent) Proficiency and practical experience creating models and producing deliverable outputs Familiarity with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within an engineering environment Basic appreciation of construction processes, and solid understanding of engineering drawing production and principles Drafting skills that require only moderate supervision Be able to accurately convert information into two dimensional drawings with attention to detail Multi-tasking skills to effectively deliver projects and drawings, and prioritisation skills to meet deadlines Strong collaboration and problem-solving abilities gained from working in a diverse team Sound communication, numeracy, and IT skills Please be sure to indicate your proficiency level with AutoCAD and/or Microstation packages (basic, intermediate or advanced) and upload examples of work or provide a link to your portfolio if relevant.
