Teaching & Learning Assistant The school is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching and Learning Assistant (TLA) to join their dynamic team at a Primary school in Sutton. This exciting opportunity will enable you to support pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them develop essential skills and thrive in a mainstream setting. Key Responsibilities: Provide personalized therapeutic support to pupils Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to promote holistic learning Utilize trauma-responsive approaches to build trusting relationships with pupils and families Assist in preparing parents/carers for life within the resource base Contribute to assessments, referrals, and progress reporting Essential Criteria: Proven experience working with pupils with complex SEMH needs Trauma-informed training Post-graduate qualification in a relevant field Ability to work independently and use initiative Committed, dependable, and detail-oriented Resilient, self-reflective, and solution-focused Minimum of 6 months experience in a UK School Environment Desirable Criteria: Knowledge of emotion coaching, TEACCH, PACE, and Zones of Regulation Experience working within a multidisciplinary team Special Education Needs experience personal or professional If you have the skills, passion, and dedication to make a difference in the lives of pupils with SEMH needs, we would love to hear from you.
