Role: SysAdmin/DevOps Engineer\nBenefits: £50k - £60k and more\nLocation: North West England (Hybrid)\nJob Type: Full-time\nWe are looking for a Systems Administrator/DevOps Engineer to manage the deployment, maintenance, and technical support of applications across development, test, pre-production, and production environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, enhance system performance, and contribute to IT projects while mentoring others.\nKey Responsibilities\nSystem Management & Deployment\n * Maintain, deploy, and support applications across various environments.\n * Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to ensure system stability and performance.\n * Oversee data sources (MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, Hadoop, etc.).\nAutomation & Infrastructure\n * Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git.\n * Manage Kubernetes and containerized environments.\n * Automate infrastructure with Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and scripting (Bash, Python).\nTechnical Leadership & Collaboration\n * Provide expertise on open-source technologies and best practices.\n * Work with enterprise architects to ensure solutions align with business goals.\n * Support security compliance and incident/problem management processes.\nPerformance & Monitoring\n * Enhance monitoring and reporting for system performance.\n * Collaborate on capacity planning and ensure systems meet business needs.\nRequired Skills & Experience\n * Strong experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and automation tools.\n * Proficiency in Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS/SUSE), scripting (Bash, Python).\n * Knowledge of web services (Apache/Tomcat), message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).\n * Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.\n * Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.\n * Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members
