What skills and experience we're looking for
Candidates will:
• Have experience of working as part of a team in a school or similar environment
• Have an awareness and understanding of Health and Safety procedures and security measures
• Present a positive personal image, contributing to the welcoming school environment
• Have multi trade skills (including joinery and plumbing) and basic technical repair and maintenance skills in other areas
• Have an understanding of moving and handling procedures and an ability to move heavy furniture
• Have the ability to deal with day-to-day issues on own initiative, manage time effectively, multitask and complete tasks / projects on time
• Acceptance of, and a commitment to, the principles of the schools’ equality and inclusion ethos
• Demonstrate initiative and a commitment to positive teamwork and collaboration to achieve results
• Have a good knowledge and understanding of the importance of safeguarding students and the welfare of staff and the action to take to support this
