Salary £35,000 pa plus target-related incentives
LoveBrum, founded in February 2015, is dedicated to making Birmingham a better place. We support the hidden heroes running small charities, causes, and projects that serve their communities, focusing on those tackling the city's toughest challenges like crime, homelessness, drug addiction, and social injustice.
To help us grow and sustain LoveBrum, we’re looking for an organised, motivated, and creative Charity and Partnerships Manager. This role will focus on fundraising, supporting our hidden heroes, and building corporate partnerships to ensure the charity’s future sustainability.
Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
* Oversee all charity operations and administrative activities.
* Collaborate with the Board of Trustees to set strategic direction.
* Build relationships with stakeholders (3rd sector, public sector, business) to raise awareness, fundraising income and to promote LoveBrum’s mission.
* Provide reports and accurate, up-to-date information pertaining to projects, causes, and corporate and fundraising income to the Board of Trustees.
* Line manage one staff member.
* Maintain financial records and provide information to accountants.
* Update, manage and take accountability for the charity’s business plan and fundraising strategy.
* Develop and maintain policies and procedures in accordance with the board’s strategic direction.
* Recording and measuring impact of the charity’s activities and annual impact.
Awareness and Fundraising:
* Lead fundraising initiatives to secure sustainable funding from individual donors, events, and corporate partnerships.
* Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities at external events, such as awards, conferences, and community gatherings, to expand LoveBrum’s reach and generate additional income.
* Develop new and innovative fundraising strategies to meet financial targets.
* Manage and execute LoveBrum events, often outside of regular working hours, ensuring they meet fundraising objectives.
* Build and lead a marketing committee to raise awareness of LoveBrum’s work and impact, driving support and donations.
* Coordinate volunteers and team members to ensure LoveBrum and partner events are well-organised and impactful.
Partnership Development / Corporate Support:
* Account manage and serve as the main point of contact for corporate and patron supporters from the business community.
* Organise and attend meetings with corporate partners to track progress, evaluate impact, and explore new ways to collaborate on fundraising and community initiatives.
* Lead business development, identifying new business community supporters and fundraisers.
* Monitor and report on the success of corporate partnerships and fundraising initiatives, making adjustments as necessary to meet objectives.
Causes:
* Identify and assess ‘hidden gem’ causes aligned with LoveBrum’s themes and values.
* Manage a pipeline of causes, ensuring they are properly vetted and ready for funding.
* Ensure funds are distributed in a timely manner and that funded causes communicate their impact through marketing efforts.
Person Specification:
* Proven experience in charity management, fundraising, or partnership development.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across sectors.
* Ability to lead and motivate a team, providing support and direction as needed.
* Creative thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Passion for Birmingham and making a tangible difference to local communities.
* A flexible, can-do attitude, with the ability to work outside regular office hours for events and fundraising activities.
