We are recruiting for a Senior Respiratory Clinical Nurse Specialist who share our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
There is 1 new Band 7 senior clinical nurse specialist role in the respiratory & Sleep team available. There are amazing opportunities for staff to upskill into this role, So if you do not have all the skills and competencies required, do not worry and do not hesitate to speak to one of the team for further advice prior to your application. .
If you need upskilling then you would initially be employed as a band 6 CNS until you meet the competencies to work independently which may take 3-6 months. Once you have met these you will then automatically be re-banded as a Band 7.
You will work 4 days a week 8am - 6pm. You would be part of a 7 day rota working approximately 1 weekend in 9.
You will work with patients suffering with respiratory conditions and assist in developing a seamless service spanning outpatient, ambulatory and inpatient care including the Acute Chest Team (ACT) within the Trust and liaison and support for community and primary care colleagues
Take part in nurse led clinic which may include diagnostic COPD, Oxygen reviews, Asthma, TB, ACT, Sleep and other respiratory conditions.

The CNS Team are looking for a nurse who is passionate about respiratory disorders. Do you wish to have an impact on patients lives right from the front door in ED to supporting the patient through their pathway in secondary care and beyond.
The Respiratory nurse team are part of a hugely successful Acute Chest Team (ACT service). This service ensures patients are seen at the right time in the right place by the right people. The team also run complex clinics including Oxygen, Sleep, COPD, Asthma, Biologics, TB, CPAP and general respiratory reviews.
You will be in a team of highly dedicated staff. You will have opportunities to take part in research including presenting at local and nationally to be able to deliver this you will be supported in any training needs.
