Base pay range
Our client is a well-invested, profitable business operating within the chilled food manufacturing sector. You will report to a Sales Director and have day-to-day management of key customer relationships with one of the major retailers.
The role will involve, amongst other aspects:
* Managing & building on their largest customer.
* Working cross-functionally both internally and externally to drive a strong growth agenda within your business unit that will play a significant part in maximizing EBIT performance of the UK business as a whole.
* Development of a Commercial Strategy that takes the business further.
* Defining the growth categories and consumer need states and energizing the origination and delivery of innovation to maximize growth opportunities.
* Monitoring sales performance to budget & forecast.
* Working closely with the wider management team to deliver a complete service package to our customers.
* Day-to-day management of a Commercial Manager.
Work Experience
At least 5 years’ experience in a Commercial or sales role within the food industry.
Good multiple retailer exposure gained within a chilled FMCG environment. Knowledge of Tesco is helpful but not essential.
Knowledge
Sound understanding of the sales cycle within the chilled food industry, with the appropriate knowledge to instill confidence in your ability to meet the customers’ needs.
Excellent knowledge of sales, cash and percentage margins, and how to effectively cost new products.
Working understanding of internal retailer dynamics, including the ability to drive results in a dual supply situation.

Flair for building & maintaining relationships at all levels, both internally & externally.
