The role As a Quality Lead, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is a great opportunity to join our quality team supporting the delivery of a major programme of work. This role will lead the quality ‘governance and assurance’ team which directly supports the delivery of a number of significant work streams; both internally and externally within the supply chain. Working for the overall programme Quality Lead, you’ll be joining a team of quality professionals who will be setting and implementing a quality strategy to underpin the overall successful delivery of the programme. Day-to-day, you’ll play a key role in project delivery, proactively supporting and advising on all aspects of quality and assurance management on our innovative project. You'll develop and maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external customers to ensure quality requirements are defined and standards are met. Developing and managing quality and assurance arrangements. Developing and implementing appropriate auditing arrangements within the project, both internally and externally (e.g. Suppliers). Ensuring any project quality non conformances / issues are managed and closed out. Facilitation of project reporting. Ensuring Supplier quality arrangements are reviewed and approved / acceptance in accordance with project requirements, including Customer approvals. Liaising with customers to understand their requirements / expectations for quality assurance, quality control and inspection. Undertake quality planning, including the preparation of the project quality documentation and as required the writing of project specific procedures / local working instructions. The inclusion of health, safety and environment aspects should be consider in drafting the project quality documentation. This role is full time 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 - 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 - 3 days working from home. Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. Essential Experience Of The Quality Lead Experience working in a quality or assurance position Knowledge of all relevant regulations and legislation Knowledge of the Customers quality requirements Experience overseeing or leading a small team within a project delivery environment Have a proven track record preferably gained within a similar role in the Nuclear or other highly regulated industry (e.g. Aerospace) Qualifications For The Quality Lead Qualified to degree, HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject e.g. engineering.
