Our client, a leading Engineering Consultancy, is seeking a Temporary HR/Payroll Administrator to join their team based in Leeds to cover a Maternity Leave, offering a 6-month assignment and Hybrid working from their offices in Chapel Allerton.
- Job Title: Temporary HR/Payroll Administrator
- Hourly Rate: £25,500 (Hourly rate, weekly pay)
- Hours: 9am-5.30pm (May be some flex on the hours)
- Start Date: ASAP (This week ideally!)
- End Date: 6 Months
- Working Pattern: Full Time (Monday to Friday, Up to 2 days working from home)
- Location: Chapel Allerton, Leeds
Responsibilities:
1. To work as part of the HR Operations team to provide administrative support to the payroll team, processing monthly payrolls, including zero-hour contracts.
2. Actively checking all changes processed in payroll.
3. Assisting with monthly payroll for our client's Ireland operation, using payroll bureau, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
4. Administering monthly payroll activities such as third-party changes/payments and producing FPS and EPS submissions.
5. Assist with reports related to benefits such as Cycle to Work and Charities Aid, carrying out childcare voucher earnings assessments.
6. Provide advice and guidance on statutory pay and leave; jury service, sickness, maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental and parental leave.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in HR or Payroll Administration advantageous; strong administrative experience will also be considered.
2. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
3. Knowledge of payroll systems such as SelectPay and PayCheck Plus.
4. Understanding of statutory pay and leave regulations.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
