We are currently looking for someone to join us on a full-time basis. The role is based across two Extra Care services located in Northallerton and Richmond.

To be successful you will have extensive experience of working in care settings and experience of managing teams. You will need to demonstrate that you can provide strong leadership as you will have responsibility for ensuring that the direct care and support provided is safe, effective, responsive, caring and well led., A major part of the role is ensuring that resources are used in a planned way in order to maintain an efficient and cost-effective service. Taking full account of both changing needs and resource availability whilst supporting care staff to work in accordance with assessments and personal outcome plans, as well as providing 24-hour background emergency care and support.
You will also ensure close collaboration with people using the service, their relatives/key supporters, housing providers, assessment, and health colleagues to deliver the best possible outcomes for people.
As an ambassador for North Yorkshire Council, you will lead and manage team leaders and care and support staff, ensuring that the service complies with the Care Quality Commissions regulations as well as North Yorkshire Council policies and procedures.
A key part of your role will involve ensuring that the services are person centred and that staff support people to meet their personal outcomes., In return, we are committed to providing you with ongoing support, with regular one to one supervision meetings, peer group sessions, skills network days and provider manager forums with other registered managers.
The ability to be flexible, responsive and to work in an ever-changing environment is essential.As the service is delivered on a 24/7 basis, you may be required to cover shifts to provide resilience to the service. You will also be part of an out of hours on call rota., Our teams are established, committed to providing high quality services and both services received a good rating in their most recent CQC inspections.As a minimum, you will require an NVQ level 3 in Care or CQF Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care and it will bea requirement to work towards a Level 5 Diploma (Leadership in Health and Social Care).You will also require registration with Care Quality Commission (CQC) and will need to undertake a successful interview process with them to achieve registration as a fit and proper person to manage registered services as well as an enhanced DBS check.
