The Powerplant Support Facility team provides a wide range of maintenance support for the BA fleet of A320s, B777s, B787s, A350s and A380s.
With a mixed fleet of 270 aircraft, the possibilities are endless, and the fleet continues to grow with more A350s and Boeing 787 Dreamliners on the way.
This change has helped to create a position for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team in helping to deliver Powerplant Workshop support.
Your focus will be to provide general assistance to all Powerplant Workshop colleagues ensuring that safety, airworthiness, and customer standards are delivered in a quality and cost-effective manner. The role has responsibility for loading/unloading engines both with cranes and forklifts, delivering and collecting engines from various hangars in LHR, and supporting the PSF/FSF workshop with movements and general tasks.
This is on a 4on 4off 12hr day shift pattern.

What you’ll do:
1. Maintain a safe working environment through adherence to quality, health and safety, and housekeeping standards.
2. Ensure compliance with all appropriate company procedures, policies, legal and regulatory requirements.
3. Drive and operate all vehicles appropriate to the area, including mechanical handling, lifting equipment, and elevated work platforms to the limit of permits held.
4. Transport, position, and deliver components, materials, and equipment to support maintenance.
5. Perform and assist with maintenance tasks as directed including cleaning and adverse weather duties.
6. Replenish vehicles, storage facilities, and equipment as necessary.
7. Support the development of a high-performance team and culture, in line with the company Hallmarks.
8. Support the delivery of departmental and directorate objectives.

Your experience:
1. Valid full UK driving licence (or equivalent).
