Job Title: Children’s Residential Registered Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Children’s Residential Registered Manager to oversee a four-bedded mainstream children’s home in South Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and dedicated professional to lead a skilled team and provide a safe and nurturing environment for young people in care.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Manage the day-to-day operations of a four-bedded mainstream children’s home in South Leeds, ensuring that it runs smoothly and in accordance with relevant legislation and regulations.
2. Lead and develop a staff team of 11, including a Deputy Manager and Senior Practitioner, providing guidance, training, and support to enable the team to deliver high-quality care to young people.
3. Ensure the home maintains its high standards by meeting Ofsted requirements, with the current rating of Good.
4. Provide effective line management and support from a Service Delivery Management team, which consists of four experienced professionals who provide guidance and assistance as needed.
5. Collaborate with other Registered Managers within the wider Leeds network, benefiting from the support of 12 other registered managers for shared learning and best practice.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Experience in managing or working in a children’s residential home with a proven ability to lead and support staff in a challenging and rewarding environment.
2. Registered Manager qualification (e.g., Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare).
3. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team to deliver exceptional care.
4. A deep understanding of Ofsted regulations and the ability to maintain and improve standards in line with these requirements.
5. Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of young people, with the ability to advocate for their needs and ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
6. Ability to work collaboratively with external partners and other professionals to support the young people in the home.
