Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach both A-level English Language and A Level English Language and Literature combined
* Implement effective feedback and assessment systems
* Deliver lessons aligned with TLA Principles
* Contribute to curriculum innovation, development, and implementation
* Maintain a professional learning environment
* Contribute to the delivery of the enhancement program
Main Tasks:
* Deliver motivating and inspiring teaching and learning
* Develop assessments and provide constructive feedback
* Facilitate learning using appropriate materials and methods
* Utilise technology to enable independent learning
* Embed employability skills through teaching and learning
* Consistently challenge lateness and attendance concerns
* Establish and maintain relationships with students
* Take part in reviews of course performance and curriculum development
* Participate in professional development and training activities
Criteria
* Possess a degree in English Language and/or Literature or a related subject.
* Possess a PGCE/Certificate of education or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Possess a qualification in Maths and English levels 4 – 9 (GCSE Grades A – C) or equivalent.
* Track record of successful teaching experience within a Sixth Form setting, preferably teaching A level English Language and/or Literature.
* Detailed knowledge of relevant course subject matter and examination and assessment requirements.
* Understanding of value added and the use of progress performance measures.
* Experience of developing and maintaining external partnerships to enrich teaching and learning.
* Ability to provide clear, direct and constructive written and verbal feedback.
