Job Summary:
Corndel is seeking a commercial, hard-working, Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join our Finance Team reporting directly to the Head of FP&A. You will drive growth, play a pivotal role in decision-making, and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering best-in-class financial support across the business. This is a newly created position and opportunity to build a scaling FP&A function.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making and improve business performance.
* Contribute to the preparation of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting, ensuring accuracy, insights and alignment with company objectives.
* Partner with internal stakeholders, including operations, business development and curriculum to provide financial insights that support business initiatives.
* Identify and suggest opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve reporting efficiency.
* Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to support decision-making.
* Support the implementation of financial planning systems and tools to enhance forecasting and reporting capabilities.
* Perform ad hoc financial analyses and develop business cases to support key business initiatives, evaluate potential opportunities, and respond to queries from senior management.
* Collaborate with the FP&A team members in preparing and presenting financial insights to leadership, contributing to discussions on business performance and strategy.
About You – What are we looking for in this role:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
* Strong FP&A experience including budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling & variance analysis with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships and influence key stakeholders.
* Ability to adapt priorities quickly, to be pro-active and to work within tight deadlines.
* Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and challenge the status quo, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
* IT literate & experienced in Microsoft excel / data analytics.
* Use of Power Bl would be advantageous.
