We're delighted to be working with an established leading provider of housing and social care in the appointment of Commercial Director.
As Commercial Director, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the organisation's commercial strategy. You will be responsible for ensuring effective cost control and income maximisation while overseeing critical areas such as procurement, health & safety, facilities and maintenance. Your leadership will directly contribute to the financial sustainability and operational efficiency of the organisation.
Responsibilities include:
1. Ensure the organisation is efficient and effective in the use of its resources.
2. Explore and evaluate opportunities for financing new business or increasing efficiency.
3. Support the production of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
4. Monitor budgetary performance and ensure that budget holders are advised when prompt corrective or preventative action is necessary.
5. Lead organisational Housing, Facilities Management, Procurement and H&S provision.
Requirements:
1. Relevant sector experience with Health & Social Care or comparable service industry.
2. Ability to understand and operate at a strategic management level.
3. Track record of successfully delivering commercial services efficiently and effectively.
4. Direct experience of staff line management.
5. Knowledge of the strategic and funding issues affecting the provision of care.
6. Financial modelling for care tenders and acquisitions.
Contract:
This is a permanent position of 37.5hrs per week with a basic salary of £85,000pa. Remote working with a mix of home-based and working across the portfolio of services in the South / Southeast of England.
