We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team and lead the maintenance operations, ensuring the continued efficiency and reliability of our machinery. Job Description: As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance activities across our facility, ensuring that both manual and CNC machines are kept in optimal working condition. This is a hands-on role, where you will be performing mechanical and some electrical repairs, carrying out routine maintenance, and maintaining detailed registers for equipment and maintenance history. You will play a key role in improving machine uptime, preventing breakdowns, and fostering a proactive maintenance culture. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the daily maintenance operations and ensure tasks are performed efficiently and to a high standard. Actively participate in repairing mechanical and electrical issues with both old and CNC machines, ensuring minimal downtime. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for all machinery, ensuring long-term reliability. Assist in the setup and calibration of machines to ensure optimum performance. Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance registers, tracking repairs, maintenance schedules, and spare parts inventories. Identify opportunities for improving maintenance procedures and reducing equipment downtime. Ensure maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Qualifications: Strong mechanical skills, with a good understanding of CNC machinery and older manual machines. Basic electrical knowledge and experience in troubleshooting electrical systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records. Health and safety-conscious with a solid understanding of relevant standards. Desirable Skills: Proven experience in a maintenance role within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment. Experience with CNC machine programming or operation. A relevant mechanical or electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent). Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience.
