Job summary This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months to meet the needs of the service. Please Note: Due to the fixed term nature of this role, on this occasion we will not be able to consider candidates who do not fulfil all the essential Qualifications &/or Knowledge (i.e. are working towards a Level 4 equivalent qualification or have significant previous experience) Main duties of the job As part of your duties, you will be trained to operate laboratory equipment to carry out diagnostic tests on patients. We are looking for a dynamic individual, ideally but not necessarily, with a background in science who is keen to learn and develop in a stimulating and rewarding environment. The Laboratory Medicine Department is made up of Biochemistry, Haematology, Blood Transfusion and Specialist Laboratories. On completion of full training you will be expected to work in all these areas on rotation and contribute to the out of hours rota. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
