An opportunity has arisen for a Administration Assistant to join our admin team supporting the South District Nursing team within the Doncaster Physical Health and Neurodiversity Care Group. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Administration Assistant, who wants to participate and contribute to achieving excellent quality of care for our patients. In return for this commitment, we will support and develop your potential and skills through regular supervision and development in this busy role within our friendly Trust.
The successful applicant will possess RSA II Typing/Word Processing or equivalent; be educated to GCSE level (minimum 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths) or hold equivalent qualifications, will have demonstrable experience of working in a busy environment and workload management; be able to use a PC and standard software packages.
There may, at times, be a need to travel between various locations, it would be an advantage if the successful applicant is either a car driver or able to be independently mobile.
• Provide a confidential, quality administrative service to an identified pathway within the Care Group.
• Display and maintain high levels of customer service at all times, ensuring all service users have a positive experience at their point of contact
• Answer telephone calls as per agreed protocols
• To communicate effectively, accurately and professionally, applying discretion and empathy where necessary, with written, telephone and face to face contact, with patients, visitors, other Trust staff and external agencies.
• Create and maintain, up to date computerised patient records and recall systems on SystmOne.
• Update new referrals on to SystmOne. Maintain current referrals and end where advised to do so.
• Provide an efficient and timely photocopying and scanning service to the team.
• Maintain, scan and file paper records and information as appropriate, in line with records management principles.
