In this role, you will be responsible for a caseload of housing disrepair cases which you should be able to manage with confidence and with the appropriate level of technical knowledge, in line with the department’s systems and procedures as well as the company’s exceptional customer service standards. Job Context The role of housing litigator will demand an excellent understanding of all aspects of housing disrepair, associated legislation and the litigation process. The role holder must have both the ability and experience to manage a high workload whilst at the same time have a sound understanding of local authority processes in relation to landlord and tenant issues. They should also be experienced in being able to act on behalf of the tenant in tenant/ landlord disputes. The role holder will have individual responsibility for a caseload of housing disrepair files that are both litigated and not litigated.
