Release Manager Remote working with monthly site visits We are seeking an experienced and motivated Release Manager to join our team in Southampton. This is a permanent position that will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless, high-quality, and frequent releases across the business. You will work closely with teams and stakeholders from IT, InfoSec, and other areas of the business, with a key focus on continuous release delivery, automation, and process improvements to reduce incidents and create a stress-free release environment. Key Responsibilities: Establish and manage core Release Management practices, with a focus on automation for quality control, readiness gates, and key decision milestones. Contribute to governance processes to uphold high standards in delivery for all customers. Ensure that environments are timely and fit for purpose to guarantee successful release delivery. Proactively manage risks and resolve issues impacting release schedules. Provide training and education on release management approaches to colleagues and teams. Drive continuous improvement by innovating and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Ensure release management metrics are reported and integrated into real-time dashboards for visibility. Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve challenges affecting release cycles. Adapt and enhance the release management framework to incorporate new technologies, techniques, and standards. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in release management within a financial services environment, releasing frequent updates and new features. Proficiency in Agile, SDLC, and DevOps methodologies, with expertise in CI/CD practices, particularly Azure DevOps Pipelines. Strong understanding of cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure (Azure certification is a plus). Familiarity with release management tooling. Excellent project management skills, including dependency management, risk mitigation, and removing team roadblocks. Proven ability to manage and communicate with multiple internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and customers. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to bridge technical and business language effectively. A track record of contributing to broader organizational improvements and adapting to evolving practices. Passion for continuous improvement and implementing innovative release management techniques. Demonstrated leadership and resilience, with a proactive, motivated, and collaborative approach to problem-solving and process enhancement.
