Job DescriptionEngineering Supervisor / Lead Engineer / Engineering Team Leader / Service & Quality Manager required to join a global manufacturer based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.
This position will be working within the Service & Quality department, where you’ll provide a proactive, effective, and efficient technical service and customer complaint root cause analysis function.
This position would suit someone who has an engineering background with experience applying root cause analysis to provide engineering, service support, handle complaints and to determine product failure & provide aftersales technical support. It’s a varied role incorporating customer interaction, root cause analysis, quality control, servicing and quoting.
Engineering management experience with a root cause analysis background would be, however we would be particularly interested in speaking with Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Process engineers looking to make a move into a management position.

Role
Leading a team of 4, including Service Administrator, Service Technician, Quality Controller and Quality Technician
Coordinate activities including primary investigations, corrective action, root cause analysis, reporting and despatch.
Manage customer complaint investigations through to root cause and prepare suitable technical reports.
80% quality engineering / 20% service
Using FMEA, 8D and Root Cause analysis to get to the reason of product faults and ensure quality / complaints are supported
Provide technical service support and root cause analysis on a range of sensors, test & measurement equipment, PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) related equipment ATEX products
Supporting customers in the Process Industries, including oil and gas, food and beverage, pharma, chemical, petrochemical, marine and nuclear.
Liaise with various engineering departments
07:00 – 16.15 Hours Monday to Thursday and 07:00 – 12:00 Hours Friday

Requirements
Engineering management experience with a root cause analysis background would be
Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, Engineering Supervisor, Quality Supervisor / Quality Manager / Lead Engineer or similar would be advantageous
We would be particularly interested in speaking with Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Process engineers looking to make a move into a management position.
Root cause analysis experience
Engineering qualification – mechanical, electrical or electronic
