We are looking for a Fostering Support Worker to join our team in the Ellesmere Port office, Foster Careline. This exciting and important role involves a range of tasks, working directly with children and young people, Foster Carers, and other professionals to ensure quality outcomes for children and young people. You will work with an experienced team in a culture where children are valued, respected, listened to, and involved in as many decisions as possible.
As a part of our agreed-upon program, you will be actively involved in participation events with our children and young people. The role will allow you to skilfully and purposefully coordinate group work and activities. Additionally, you play a crucial role in supporting the team's efforts to prepare children and young people for their foster care placements. This role allows you to be heavily involved in the recruitment process and provide transportation support for our children.
The ability to accurately document interactions and actively contribute to the well-being of children is essential.
As a fostering support worker, you will be part of a team that prioritises children and young people in its decisions.
You need to be flexible, proactive, and able to communicate with children and adults. You also need to have experience working with Children and Young People. Prior work within the fostering sector would be desirable. An understanding and empathy for the work required are necessary. Therapeutic direct work with children, young people, and carers is preferred but optional, as training is given.
You need to be able to drive for this role and have access to a car, be flexible as you may need to work occasional evenings and weekends, and be committed to therapeutic training.
Hours
This is a Full-time role. You will need to be flexible for this role as you may need to work weekends and evenings.
