Job Description We’re recruiting for a Head of Transactions to join the Stock Acquisition Team within our Affordable Homes business here at L&G to help us achieve our ambitious targets of providing affordable housing to thousands across the UK, whilst simultaneously creating capacity in the Not-For-Profit sector. As our Head of Transactions you will manage the transactional activities delivered by the Stock Acquisitions team. This will include origination activity as well as the process of underwriting, negotiating commercial terms, overseeing due diligence and working closely with the Managing Director to execute transactions, and manage staff working across a portfolio of transactions, ensuring programmes are adhered to. You will also work closely with the MD in identifying appropriate funders for identified opportunities, and following execution of agreed transactions, work with the Head of Stock Acquisitions to ensure portfolios are ingested efficiently into the existing portfolio. What you'll be doing: Working closely with the MD to develop products that are appropriate to the Sector, including decarbonisation strategies. Presenting to and engaging with prospective partners, including the preparation of appropriate materials for external boards, internal RP Boards and Investment Committees. Managing analyst resource and overseeing preparation of models to appraise opportunities and present these to Investment Committees. And as the Stock Acquisition team continues to grow, you will also lead team underwriting opportunities and securing all relevant approvals for these. Taking responsibility for the assessment of opportunities against key agreed investment criteria, and for quality assurance of all opportunities shared with clients. Working with the MD and Head of Stock Acquisitions to negotiate all commercial agreements required to acquire and onboard portfolios. Working with appointed legal advisors to ensure commercial arrangements are documented according to agreed commercial positions.
