Position: Duty Manager - Melia White House
Mission: The purpose of this role is to ensure the wellbeing of all guests during their time at the hotel by supporting the operational departments in the delivery of their duties. As a key representative of the hotel and brand, the duty manager is responsible for working harmoniously with colleagues, planning and organizing to ensure excellent guest service standards.
Responsibilities include:
* Liaising with the Head of Departments for the update and follow up of the Hotel’s Action Plan (PACC).
* Providing maximum support to all team members of the hotel in alleviating problems or delays during the shift.
* Completing daily inspections of all hotel facilities ensuring a checklist is completed.
* Checking that all areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and that all appliances, fixtures and fittings are safe and comply with Health and Safety regulations, reporting any faults to Maintenance.
* Ensuring a full handover with the previous and following Duty Manager/Night Manager.
* Coordinating the operation within the outlets and facilitating the reallocation of staff if required due to exceptional business needs.
* Supporting the sales team with VIP site visits, providing a point of contact and escalation point as needed.
* Deputizing in the absence of the HoD of any operational department, ensuring team members are supported.
What we are looking for:
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience in Hospitality
* Fluency in English
* Spanish and Italian are a plus
* Knowledge of Hotel Operations
* Empathy and understanding
