We are seeking experienced dance coaches to work in local secondary schools as cover supervisors
About the role
We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Dance Coaches to work as cover supervisors and inspire and lead secondary school students across the Dudley area. As a Cover supervisor you will need to
* Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task with the work provided.
* Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
* Deliver pre-prepared lessons in a range of subjects across the curriculum.
* Support students in their learning and address any questions they may have about the material.
* Report any issues or concerns to the relevant Head of Department or Senior Leadership Team.
Requirements:
* Relevant qualifications in dance or a related field (, degree in Dance, Dance Education, or equivalent professional experience).
* Previous experience in teaching dance to secondary school-aged students is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
* Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
* Previous experience in a school setting, particularly in a cover supervisor role, is an advantage.
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities.
