The post holder is accountable to the Chief Executive with responsibility for corporate governance and affairs. The post holder will be the principal adviser to the Board, the Trust Executive and the organisation as a whole on all aspects of corporate governance and will be responsible for the leadership of the Board Assurance Framework, Office of the Chief Executive, Council of Governors and Foundation Trust Membership, as well as providing support to the Chair and Chief Executive's offices in order to ensure the provision of effective, safe and high quality care, which meets the needs of patients and can be provided within the resources available.
This is a diverse and varied leadership role, and we are interested to hear from experienced corporate governance and corporate affairs leaders, from individuals with experience of having already operated at this level, who are looking to expand their leadership expertise into a potentially broader portfolio or group model. You will have experience working in a highly regulated and complex partnership environment, with a track record of supporting and enabling change, strong political acumen and ability to build effective relationships at all levels in an organisation. Most of all, you will share our values and those of our health and care system and ensure that we continue to put people first and deliver the right care, every time keeping people 'happy, healthy and at home'.
Main duties of the job
Our new Executive Director of Corporate Affairs will be a key member of the senior leadership team, with shared responsibility for driving forward the overall vision of the Trust. The post holder will be the principal adviser to the Board, the Trust Executive and the Group as a whole on all aspects of Corporate Affairs and will be responsible for the leadership of the Board Assurance Framework, CQC Well Led Review, Council of Governors and Foundation Trust Membership, as well as providing support to the Chair and Chief Executive's Offices in order to ensure the provision of effective, safe and high quality care, which meets the needs of patients and can be provided in a cost effective manner. The post holder will also act as the Company Secretary. This portfolio is also responsible for oversight across our Group which includes: AGH Solutions (wholly owned subsidiary) as well as Immedicare and Pathology LLP's. The post holder will provide leadership, management and direction to the Executive PA's, Communications and Engagement team, Airedale Hospital Charity and Legal Services.
