Salary: £25,000 (Pro Rata)
Hours: 14 hours per week for 6 months (extension subject to funding)
Location: Johnny Whiteley Park, North Road, Hull HU4 6LQ & Remote
Reporting to: Chair of Trustees

About the Role
Are you passionate about community development and making a real difference? The West Hull Community Hub is seeking a dedicated Community Hub Officer to play a pivotal role in enhancing the Hub’s impact and reach.
This is an exciting opportunity to coordinate and support volunteers, deliver impactful activities and events, and build partnerships to strengthen the Hub’s presence within the community. You’ll be instrumental in improving the volunteer experience, increasing engagement, and promoting environmental stewardship through the development of the Hub’s natural area.
Key Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively with the Hub Trustees to achieve the Hub’s objectives.
* Develop and deliver activities and events tailored to community needs.
* Recruit, train, and support volunteers, ensuring a rewarding experience.
* Represent the Hub professionally at external meetings and events.
* Manage communications through the Hub’s website, social media, and newsletters.
* Build partnerships with diverse organisations across sectors.
* Support monitoring and reporting in line with funder requirements.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
* Enthusiastic, proactive, and passionate about community engagement.
* Organised and capable of planning, delivering, and evaluating activities.
* An excellent communicator with experience in volunteer support and partnership building.
* Committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Essential Skills & Knowledge
* Experience working with volunteers.
* Awareness of safeguarding and environmental stewardship.
* Strong interpersonal and administrative skills.
Desirable Skills
* Experience in coordinating volunteers or delivering community outreach programs.
* Knowledge of Hull’s community networks and voluntary sector.
