Job Description Practice Lead - Children's Safeguarding South West 3 month initial contract Outside IR35 £450 - £500 per day 18.5 hr week (hybrid working) CV feedback and interviews taking place within the next week Due to movement within their team, we are recruiting for an Interim Practice Lead - Children's Safeguarding on behalf of a local authority, based in the South West for an initial 3 month period whilst they recruit on a permanent basis. Your duties as Practice Lead - Children's Safeguarding: Provide expertise to Child Protection and Children in Need services around decision making and thresholds Provide respectful and appropriate challenge around decision making practice and support development Ensure development of effective CP chair scrutiny of plans with a focus on outcomes focussed planning Provide additional support to managers re practice (although this is not an operational role) Support development of strengths based conference approach Support development of documentation, systems and recording as needed for conferences and all plans Review practice policies and procedures to support developments needed so that these are aligned Experience needed as Service Manager - Children's Safeguarding & Quality Assurance: Be Social care qualified and have an active Social Work England registration Demonstrable experience working in Child Protection and Children in Need services Ability to produce, develop and support plans You will ideally demonstrable experience of working in an inadequate/requires improvement OFSTED rated team and know how to deliver Ofsted Improvement work If you’re interested in discussing this opportunity in more detail or know someone who this may be of interest to, please contact me on 0117 3137110 or apply today.
