Primary School Teacher - Caerphilly (SEN/ALN Focus) We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Primary School Teacher to join a supportive school in Caerphilly, with a strong focus on Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Additional Learning Needs (ALN). In this role, you will teach across Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2, providing tailored learning experiences for students with varied additional needs, including 1-to-1 support and small group instruction. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging lessons to students across Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2, adapting content for those with SEN and ALN. Provide 1-to-1 and small group support for children with additional learning needs, tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs. Collaborate with support staff and specialist educators to implement personalised learning plans and individual education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN/ALN. Support students in overcoming challenges related to behaviour, emotional development, and learning difficulties. Monitor and assess students' progress, ensuring that each learner's potential is realised and that appropriate interventions are implemented. Foster an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment that promotes student confidence, independence, and well-being. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Strong knowledge of SEN/ALN, with experience in delivering teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with dyslexia, autism, ADHD, and other learning challenges. Experience in adapting lessons and resources to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those with emotional and behavioural difficulties. A patient, understanding, and flexible approach to teaching, especially for learners with additional support needs. The ability to work collaboratively with parents, colleagues, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for SEN/ALN students. An openness to participating in training and development to enhance your skills in SEN and ALN teaching. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds. Essential Requirements: A teaching qualification (Degree/PGCE/QTS) and relevant teaching experience. At least 1 year of teaching experience, including working with students with SEN/ALN (Newly Qualified Teachers are encouraged to apply). A fully enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate, or the willingness to obtain one. EWC registration (Education Workforce Council) as a teacher.
