ENGINE PROGRAMMER INTERN What You'll Do We are looking for a programmer with a passion for tools development to work on Unreal’s profiler Insights. This is a great opportunity to shape the profiler used by countless games development studios including Epic’s own Fortnite team. You will be responsible for delivering features aimed at improving the usability and iteration speed of Insights. You will be supported by a team of experienced programmers, joining in on group brainstorms and working together to ensure our users get the best possible profiling experience. In this role, you will Get up to speed with the Insights profiler and it’s current workflows Work on usability improvements to Insights’ various views including timing event tracks, counters and memory views Iterate on the clarity of the Insights UI and the first time user experience Actively work with the Insights team, joining group brainstorming sessions What we're looking for Good knowledge and experience programming projects in C++ or another object oriented language is a must have A passion for tools development and improving user workflows An interest in user experience and UI design Great communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team This internship has a flexible start date in 2025.
