Teacher Vacancy from September 2025 for our Specialist Resourced Provision
Short Heath Federation
Full Time
M1-UPS3 Plus SEND Point
1 x Permanent Contract – EYFS/KS1 Communication and Interaction
1 x Maternity Cover – KS2 SEMH
We are excited to be opening the federation’s third Specialist Resource Provision in the coming academic year at Rosedale. These are specialist places commissioned by the local authority in mainstream settings.
We already have one for children with Communication and Interaction needs at Rosedale and one for children with SEMH needs at Short Heath (teacher going on maternity leave soon).
We are proud to offer these specialist places to children with complex additional needs who can benefit from all that a mainstream setting has to offer. This is an outcome of Walsall’s Specialist Provision Review and part of the development of similar settings across Walsall. You will be working alongside teachers and support staff in other SRPs as we develop them with significant training and development. This is a real opportunity to shape the future of SEND provision in Walsall.
If you are an energetic, enthusiastic, and outstanding teacher, we want you at Short Heath Federation where ‘Every Day, In every way, Everyone matters’. You will inspire our children, ensuring they make good progress and enjoy learning. Specialisms in SEN and SEMH would be an advantage, but we’ll provide training.
You should:
• be an inspirational teacher;
• create an irresistible learning experience for every single child;
• believe that all behaviour is communication of an unmet need;
• believe that ‘every day, in every way, everyone matters’;
• love working as part of a team;
• be a courageous, innovative teacher who’s not afraid to try something new;
• be a reflective practitioner, adapting your practice in response to children’s changing needs;
• support our Federation Christian ethos.
We can offer:
• a tailor-made induction programme for all career stages;
• a personalised professional development plan;
• a career coach;
• Local Authority staff well-being programme;
• exciting opportunities for extensive professional development across a federation of schools;
• laptop;
• discounted childcare;
• ongoing weekly professional development meetings;
• support from a leading practitioner and specialist leaders of education;
• opportunities to shadow colleagues;
• supportive and dedicated colleagues;
• opportunities to support colleagues in various settings;
• an exceptionally strong Governing Body;
