About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead commercial initiatives for our Digital Battery Passport platform and broader battery-related solutions. This role plays a pivotal part in scaling our business in alignment with emerging regulatory requirements (e.g., EU Battery Regulation) and the global transition to cleaner energy systems.
As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies, identifying customer segments, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth in sectors including electric vehicles (EVs), energy storage systems, OEMs, battery manufacturers, and recyclers.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales Execution
* Identify, target, and develop relationships with key accounts across EV OEMs, battery manufacturers, pack manufacturers, recyclers, and energy storage solution providers.
* Define and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for the Digital Battery Passport platform and battery lifecycle services.
* Identify, qualify, and close business with new clients and strategic accounts.
* Attend and present at industry events, trade shows, and webinars.
Market Development
* Gather and analyze customer requirements to inform product development and roadmap alignment.
* Develop a deep understanding of market dynamics, regulatory frameworks (e.g., EU Battery Regulation, ESG reporting), and customer pain points.
* Educate stakeholders on the value proposition of digital traceability, compliance, and sustainability data.
Partnerships & Business Growth
* Establish partnerships with OEMs, battery manufacturers, recyclers, and software providers.
* Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and regulatory forums.
Customer Relationship Management
* Maintain strong client relationships to ensure long-term engagement and upsell opportunities.
* Serve as the voice of the customer, working closely with product and tech teams to align solutions to market needs.
Internal Collaboration
* Work cross-functionally with product management, regulatory affairs, and marketing teams to ensure alignment of messaging, feature development, and go-to-market strategy.
* Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance metrics to leadership.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field (MBA is a plus).
* 5+ years of B2B sales experience in one or more of the following industries: batteries, EVs, energy storage, recycling, or sustainability software.
* Proven track record in enterprise sales or complex solution selling.
* Strong knowledge of digital product sales, SaaS, and/or environmental compliance platforms is preferred.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have:
* Familiarity with the Digital Product Passport (DPP), battery passport frameworks, or ESG data reporting.
* Experience selling to European markets or working with regulatory-driven technologies.
* Multilingual capabilities (especially German, French, or Chinese) are a plus.
