Position Overview
The Data Centre & Cloud Manager is responsible for monitoring and managing the smooth delivery and operations of all vendors and services provided by the Data Centre & Cloud team to our businesses. This role involves overseeing the deployment and maintenance of new infrastructure, ensuring security and compliance, and optimising performance and cost-efficiency. The Data Centre & Cloud Manager plays a critical role in improving the reliability and resiliency of data centre and cloud services, reducing the number of incidents, and enhancing vendor relations.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Monitor and manage the smooth delivery and operations of all vendors and services provided by the Data Centre & Cloud team.
* Act as the leadership and point of escalation for the Data Centre & Cloud team.
* Oversee the deployment and maintenance of data centre and cloud infrastructure, ensuring it meets business needs.
* Ensure the security and compliance of data centre and cloud services, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
* Optimise the performance and cost-efficiency of data centre and cloud services.
* Improve the reliability and resiliency of data centre and cloud services, reducing the number of incidents.
* Foster improved vendor relations, ensuring effective collaboration and service delivery.
* Manage cloud environments, ensuring they are secure, compliant, and optimized for performance.
* Collaborate with IT Leadership and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for data centre and cloud initiatives.
* Stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in data centre and cloud, incorporating relevant advancements into the organisation’s strategy.

* Language: English (Fluent). Desirable: Second European Language (preferred).

Experience / Education
You are/have:
* College diploma or university degree in business, information systems, or technical related subject.
* Minimum of 7 years hands-on, technical experience.
* Minimum of 5 years management experience.
* Experience working in the construction materials / industrial manufacturing sector.
