We are looking for a Site Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to join GLT and become an integral member of the Bracknell Hub Site team.
The Bracknell Hub currently incorporates Brakenhale School, Crown Wood Primary School, Wildmoor Heath Primary School and Sandy Lane Primary School. The Site Assistant supports the schools and their staff in a range of duties to support the smooth operation of the schools.
Main responsibilities:
* Being proactive in identifying, reporting and rectifying building defects, ensuring a high standard of repair is maintained.
* Support the security of the premises, including opening and locking of premises.
* Undertake a range of re-decoration and maintenance work, as agreed with the Site or Regional Estates Manager.
* Maintain a safe and clean external environment.
* Carry out Health and safety checks including Fire, emergency lighting, Legionella and keep accurate records.
* Supervise and contact contractors when necessary.
* Assist with cleaning duties as required.
* Undertake general portage duties to include setting out and putting away furniture.
* Be flexible to cover the opening, closing, heating, and availability of equipment for school events.
You will need:
* Full UK valid driving licence and use of a suitable vehicle for travelling between multiple sites.
* Knowledge of moving and handling procedures.
* Willingness to participate in development and training opportunities.
* Ability to make decisions and solve problems.
* Good organisational and project management skills.
* Ability to work well as part of a team.
* Commitment to high standards and expectations.
* Self-motivated and ability to use initiative.
