Purpose of Role
This role is part-time (30 hours) per week. The Facilities Assistant will represent Kent Police as a first point of contact for members of the public, which includes giving and receiving information, dealing with enquiries and complaints, and offering advice and guidance as appropriate. The role also involves undertaking general clerical and support duties to ensure the provision of an efficient, effective, and timely service to the people of Kent.
Responsibilities
* Represent Kent Police as the first point of contact.
* Operate Police computer systems according to service guidelines.
* Receive and administer property.
* Be responsible for the security, safety, and tidiness of the station reception office.
* Work 30 hours per week on a 7-day shift rota with the possibility of further hours when available.
* Report to the Public Enquiry Officer Team Leader.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
* A good standard of education to GCSE A-C level (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics or experience to this standard are essential.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Good IT skills (training will be provided on Police systems).
* Subject to vetting by Kent Police.
