This role will consist of working with communities across Kingston, ensuring strong partnership working and delivery of quit targets. Efforts will be in four key areas of inequalities: workplace, manual workers, pregnancy and mental health. If you have strong people skills this role could be for you. The post will involve a significant amount of work within the borough of Kingston, out & about in the community, including some evenings and weekend work.. It would be suitable for a resident of the borough or someone who has a good knowledge of the locality. Typical work streams as an Outreach Officer might include : Workplaces - attend workplaces such as building sites, cafes, bus stations, barber shops, Deliveroo meeting places etc. • Mental health-work with smokers with lower-level mental health issues, with rough sleepers and food banks. • Smoke free homes - Introduce the scheme for pregnant women. • GP and Pharmacy-enhance engagement with the use of iPlato texting technology, producing vidoes and newsletters & work on new pharmacy resources. • All to be underpinned by co-production work done with key priority groups to ensure all resources are tailored accordingly. You will also spend some time - Liaising with external organisations to build effective partnerships. Promotions of the Stop Smoking Service particularly within voluntary and community services Identifying areas where service delivery needs to be increased and implementing strategic plans to do so, improving the programme’s outcomes. By delivering presentations and training, attending community outreach events and having bespoke conversations to ensure strong referral routes into our service. Working with the existing team on marketing for Kingston Stop Smoking Service; this could be design work, Google adverts, stakeholder newsletters and content across our social media platforms. Working with the Service’s Manager to develop and deliver plans and campaigns to promote the service and ensure adequate activity levels.
