We are seeking a proactive Property Manager to support the Property Partner for Housing & Landlord Services in managing a diverse property portfolio. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced property professional to work on a variety of estate management tasks, including Right to Buy (RTB) valuations, lease compliance, lettings, rent reviews, disposals, and small land transactions.
Initially, the focus will be on clearing a backlog of Statutory Housing Act Right to Buy residential valuations, ensuring compliance with statutory and service agreement timescales. As the role progresses, you will take on wider estate management responsibilities, supporting operational and commercial property functions.
You will be required to be in the office/site 5 x a week.
Key Responsibilities
1. Right to Buy Valuations: Conduct property inspections, liaise with tenants, and provide valuation reports for RTB applications.
2. Commercial & Estate Management: Manage 48 small commercial units, handling lettings, lease renewals, rent reviews, and compliance.
3. Land Transactions & Disposals: Oversee small land transactions, encroachments, and property disposals.
4. Compliance & Advisory: Provide professional property advice, maintain records, and ensure legal and policy compliance.
About You
1. Experience: Proven background in property management, estate management, or valuations.
2. Knowledge: Strong understanding of RTB valuations, lease negotiations, and commercial property transactions.
3. Skills: Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
4. Qualifications: RICS membership (or working towards) desirable.
5. Requirements: Full UK driving licence (or ability to travel for site visits).
