Door Specialist / Scheduler

The Client
Our Client supplies bespoke joinery to the commercial, leisure, healthcare, education, and fit-out sectors. They design, manufacture, and install internal bespoke joinery and acoustic panelling, as well as a range of fire-rated and specialist doorsets.
The Role
The client would consider someone who hasn't done this role previously and would be happy to train up. Ideally, you would have knowledge of doorsets and manufacturing, with good IT skills and attention to detail.
The brief below is for an experienced Door Scheduler, but you do not necessarily need all the experience listed.
* Analysis of Architect Schedules and Drawings to include specifications (L20 & P21) and combine information into a format for manufacturing.
* Strong background in Door manufacturing.
* Produce an agreed schedule of the client's requirements.
* Ensure requirements are fully understood by all parties - technical issues, lead times agreed, delivery requirements.
* Raise any design changes with the design manager whilst informing the commercial team of any financial impact.
* Compile schedules to allow the ordering of ironmongery and materials for specific scheduled jobs.
* Manage contracts from order to final delivery.
Skills Required
* Experience in joinery, construction, or manufacturing environment.
* Proficient in the use of AutoCAD.
* Strong attention to detail and a methodical attitude to ensure accuracy.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines.
* Good level of Maths and English.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to read architectural designs and schedules.
* Ability to transfer client drawings and schedules into a format for manufacturing.
* Commercial awareness associated with design alterations.
