Time Appointments are working on behalf of a reputable Financial Services company who are currently looking for a confident, proactive, and personable Receptionist to join their team in Bury St Edmunds. The reception is the central hub of the office where the successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting every department, handling a wide range of tasks every day. As a Reception Administrator, you’ll be a key part of the team – helping to ensure everything runs smoothly and professionally from the moment a client walks through the door. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Opening and securing the office daily, keeping Reception presentable and welcoming Greeting visitors and managing appointments, refreshments, and safety protocols Handling all incoming calls and managing the telephony system Organising post (inbound and outbound), including scanning, filing, and courier services Banking cheques and processing client payments Booking meetings, managing office supplies, coordinating maintenance requests Ensuring meeting rooms are prepared and well-stocked Assisting with health & safety procedures including fire alarm testing and compliance checks Supporting with client onboarding, AML checks, engagement letters and record-keeping Helping new starters settle in with inductions, desk setups, and basic IT support Providing general admin support across the business when needed (typing, archiving, database updates, etc) Skills & Experience Required: Ideally have relevant experience of working on a busy Reception and as an administrator. Have excellent computer skills, particularly using Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook. Be very organised and have the ability to manage your time effectively. Demonstrate professionalism at all times. Be flexible and able to juggle a variety of tasks.
