We are looking for a highly skilled Business Development Executive, to play an important role in growing our Membership network and our training and consultancy client base. The Business Development Executive will be a key member of our Commercial team and will be responsible for acquiring new members, building meaningful relationships with existing clients, and actively seeking and converting new business development opportunities. About this role The Business Development Executive will be a key member of our Commercial team and will be responsible for acquiring new members, growing our training and consultancy client base and building meaningful relationships with new and existing clients. The role will be responsible for actively seeking and converting new business development opportunities across the public, private and third sectors. The individual will work collaboratively across the organisation, ensuring both current and prospective clients receive an exceptional customer experience. Key responsibilities • To support with all aspects of the Business Development lifecycle from lead generation to conversion. • Building, managing, and reporting on the Business Development pipeline. • Take a proactive approach at every step to develop and execute outbound sales tactics. This will include outreach via LinkedIn, emails, and attending networking events to identify and generate new business opportunities. • Delivering revenue and member growth against plans and targets. • Identifying new business opportunities and building relationships to enhance enei’s reputation in the marketplace. • To regularly represent enei at events and to establish and build networks across the public, private and third sectors. • Regularly liaise with existing client contacts to establish opportunities to upsell to the higher tiers of membership, and cross selling our range of training, consultancy and eLearning products and services. • Working effectively with the account management team to maximise revenue and provide sales support. • Working collaboratively with the Marketing function to support the team in promoting our services appropriately. • Working closely with the Service Design and Delivery team to stay abreast of all initiatives, services, programs, events and support. • Identifying, developing, and submitting bids and tenders, in conjunction with Commercial and Service Design & Delivery colleagues. • To be responsible for the administration within the business development function. • Providing all necessary forecasting information and maintaining strict monitoring of information on the CRM. • Working flexibly and carrying out additional duties within the Commercial Team and wider organisation, as may be agreed from time to time. • Ensuring that all work is carried out in line with our vision, purpose, values and strategic objectives. • Operating as an effective and collaborative member of the enei team. • Keep up to date with what’s going on in the workplace diversity, equality, and inclusion space. Person specification The Business Development Executive will be agile, flexible and dynamic, with exceptional relationship building, networking and stakeholder management skills. Experience, knowledge and skills ESSENTIAL: Experience: • A talented business developer, with a proven track record gained in a B2B environment. • Experienced in writing and submitting proposals. • Consultative sales experience, skilled in selling services and/or solutions. • Excellent IT literacy, with experience working across the Microsoft 365 suite and with CRM systems, such as Salesforce. Knowledge and Skills: • Lead generation and prospect management skills. • Exceptional customer service and support skills. • A natural networker with the confidence and ability to liaise with individuals across all disciplines and levels within an organisation • The ability to drive revenue from new and existing clients across a diverse product portfolio, with a proven track record of consistently exceeding targets. • An open and collaborative style, with the confidence and integrity to earn client, staff, and wider stakeholder trust and respect. • Exceptional presentation skills. • Highly organised, with a keen attention to detail. • Excellent written and oral customer communication skills. • The ability to work to strict briefs and tight deadlines.
