Aim and purpose of the job: Overseeing the operational aspects of the firm’s business Primary liaison person between the firm and Pershing Ensuring that the firm’s business is processed efficiently and is able to scale Working as part of the Management Team in seeking to achieve the firm’s corporate objectives Duties: Managing and training members of the Operations team Managing and overseeing the firm’s systems and Pershing’s systems that support the Operations function of the firm Managing the day to day running of the firm’s back office Developing procedures which will streamline work processes, introducing STP and efficiencies where possible Being involved in relevant committees of the firm Remaining abreast of regulatory changes Strong adherence to escalation and reporting to Line Director any information where it would be reasonable to assume to be of material significance Taking on other duties that my Line Director or Senior Management deems necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role. Other Requirements: In-depth knowledge of the wealth management industry In-depth understanding of relevant regulations (FCA, HMRC, etc.) Good people management skills, not just with own department but also with other departments Good knowledge of the firm’s technology and its operations
