We have an exciting opportunity for a Street Lighting Electrician to join our team within Stirling Council Roads Services team. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who has knowledge and experience in the inspection and maintenance of streel lighting and associated apparatus. You will participate in a range of extended infrastructure improvement programmes and on-going reactive work including general maintenance, testing and electrical repairs to street lighting systems and Roads electrical equipment, in accordance with current requirements and regulations for electrical installations. The successful candidate will participate in and contribute as part of the team maintaining and renewing the street lighting network across the Stirling Region. The successful candidate will work from our Springkerse depot in Stirling as part of the wider Roads Services team. Stirling Council’s Roads Services cover all areas of Stirling Region including the historic City of Stirling and associated beautiful rural areas. The successful candidate will have opportunities for training and development as an individual and as part of the wider Roads Services team within Environment and Place. The successful candidate will be suitably educated to Scottish Joint Industry Board graded as an Approved Electrician, demonstrate skills and competencies gained through relevant experience. The role is predominately outside, and the successful candidate will also be expected to take part in out-off hours standby on a rota basis.
