Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to support our nursery setting. The ideal candidate will possess leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education. As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and maintaining effective communication with parents and the staff team.
Duties
1. Manage daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
2. Lead and motivate staff members, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance.
3. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
4. Oversee the planning and implementation of educational activities that promote early childhood development.
5. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as nursery policies.
6. Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and other relevant documentation.
Requirements
1. Experience in childcare or early childhood education settings is essential.
2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
4. A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
5. Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the quality of care provided to children.
6. Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in childcare.
7. Flexibility to adapt to changing situations while maintaining a calm demeanour.
