Job Summary The PHSE Tutorial Trainer is part of the Quality and Standards Team. The PHSE Tutorial Trainer is responsible for the coordination and delivery of the PHSE Tutorial programme that deepens learners’ understanding of a wide range of personal development topics, for example, healthy relationships through appropriate relationships and sex education, keeping physically healthy and maintaining an active lifestyle, confidence and resilience building for mental health, equality and diversity, British values, the danger associated with radicalisation and extremism, staying safe online, the danger associated with sexual harassment and active citizenship. The PHSE Tutorial Trainer will source, plan and deliver high quality tutorials that facilitate participation in current issues and decision making by creating opportunities for students to develop their personal, social and educational skills, beyond purely academic, technical or vocational to enable them to reach their full potential. This will also include a weekly bulletin and monthly quiz to check learners’ knowledge and understanding of key topics. It is essential for this role to have excellent motivational, assertiveness skills and communication skills at all levels in order to ensure supported students make swift positive progress. It is also essential that the post holder has a good level of general education, with experience of using databases, processing information and creating regular reports. In addition, strong administrative and organisational skills are required along with a flexible, adaptable and positive attitude. Experience of working with young people/adults in a support situation is essential.
