Description Reporting to the HR Advisor, the HR Assistant will contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of our HR department and provide an outstanding service to both managers and employees. This is a proactive, varied and busy role, providing organisational, administrative and general HR support to the business. You will be a point of contact for incoming people queries and you will support with recruitment and onboarding, absence management, payroll support and ad-hoc projects where necessary. Areas of Responsibility Employee Records Management: Maintain and update employee records, ensuring all personal and employment information is accurate and up to date. Process new starter paperwork, terminations, and employee changes. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations. Recruitment Support: Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job advertisements, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates. Prepare offer letters and employment contracts. Coordinate onboarding processes for new employees. Payroll and Benefits Administration: Manage the complete end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payments. Handle employee benefits enrolment, changes, and inquiries. Manage holiday and sickness absence records, maintaining accurate data. Liaise with benefit providers and ensure timely and accurate benefits administration. HR Policy Implementation: Ensure company policies and procedures are communicated and adhered to. Assist in the development and updating of HR policies and employee handbooks. Employee Relations: Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits, escalating when appropriate to the HR Advisor. Note taking at investigation and disciplinary meetings. Assist in organising employee engagement activities and events. HR Reporting and Compliance: Generate HR reports and analytics as required. Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
