Role: Locum Pharmacist Banding: Band 7 Location: London Start Date: ASAP Duration: To be confirmed (1-2 months cover, approximately 30-60 days, service dependent) Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 09:00 AM – 17:00 PM Rate: £28 - £34 per hour The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and professional Band 6 Pharmacist to join our team in Nottingham. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, running until the end of May 2025. Key Responsibilities: You will provide high-quality clinical pharmacy services, including individual prescription reviews, medicines reconciliation, and discharge planning. You will actively participate in consultant rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance patient care. You will offer advice on dosage, side effects, cautions, and monitoring requirements to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines. You will educate and counsel patients on their medications to improve compliance and understanding and support the training and supervision of junior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. You will participate in drug usage reviews, audits, and cost-efficiency programs to ensure the best use of resources. You will ensure compliance with local and national policies, such as NICE guidelines and medicines policies. Requirements: Education and Qualifications: GPhC Registered. 1 year pre-registration training. Master’s degree in pharmacy (MPharm) accredited by the GPhC. Previous experience working in an NHS hospital setting is essential. Experience in a dispensary setting, primarily screening paediatric and IVF prescriptions. Ability to respond to queries effectively. Skills and Knowledge: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
