We are seeking a practitioner who has experience of working in a children in care role to join Newcastle’s CIC and Care Leavers Team.
As a Senior Practitioner within the CIC team, you are required to:
1. Partnership and Participation: Work with children, young people, and their families/carers to build effective relationships, elicit their needs and views, and promote participation in decision-making.
2. Communication in Complex Situations: Communicate skilfully and confidently in complex or high-risk situations, understanding the benefits and limitations of partnership work.
3. Assessment and Risk Management: Undertake assessments and manage risks to children and young people in complex situations, producing high-quality assessments in line with statutory and operational standards.
4. Intervention Planning and Review: Plan, implement, and review interventions for children, young people, and families/carers, ensuring compliance with statutory and operational standards.
5. Workload Management and Supervision: Manage a complex workload independently, seek advice from colleagues, and use supervision to support effective practice, reflection, and career development.
6. Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records safely and confidentially, producing well-structured reports that clearly record and analyze judgements.
