Job Title: Service Manager - Domiciliary Care
Location: Surrey, UK
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)
Salary: £28,000 per annum, plus additional bonus for out-of-hours shifts
About Us:
We are in search of a dynamic and seasoned Service Manager (Domiciliary Care) to become an integral part of our client’s team, taking charge of guiding the strategic vision, operational excellence, and ongoing enhancement of all our services aimed at assisting clients and unpaid carers within the Surrey region.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide professional leadership and guidance to Care Support Workers and Assistants (CSWs/CSAs) through supervisions and staff meetings.
2. Participate in first-tier Out of Hours support for care workers.
3. Ensure efficient rostering to maximize resource hours.
4. Address HR/Employee Relations concerns following organization's fact-finding process.
5. Monitor and manage care workers' sickness and absence.
6. Lead recruitment and interviews and Inductions for CSWs/CSAs.
7. Respond promptly to client inquiries with clear record-keeping.
8. Act as the primary contact for safeguarding concerns, ensuring correct procedures and concise reporting.
9. Attend weekly "in-office" days for effective communication and support.
10. Conduct 70% reviews of service provision.
11. Provide direct support for client visits at short notice.
12. Maintain proactive management of CSW/CSA profiles in the HR system.
13. Submit comprehensive sector performance reports weekly.
14. Monitor and ensure quality of care workers' reports through spot checks.
15. Verify and approve timesheets in line with company processes.
16. Review client support documentation within sector guidelines.
Requirements:
1. Care Certificate and knowledge of CQC Regulations and Healthcare Act.
2. Prior experience in line management, preferably within a care environment, involving tasks such as rostering and conducting observations and supervisions.
3. NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable.
4. Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
5. Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word/Excel), with a willingness to learn new digital platforms.
6. Capacity to cultivate positive relationships with team members, carers, and individuals requiring care and support, while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
7. Commitment to adhering to policies, procedures, and national, regional, and local guidelines.
8. Demonstrated respect and dignity toward adults and children in need of care and support.
9. Understanding of the significance of confidentiality.
10. Comprehensive understanding of the needs of unpaid carers.
11. Full UK Driving Licence with Business Insurance.
