If you are looking for a role that combines hardware development leadership and management in an environment where you can make a significant contribution and collaborate with a committed team that builds innovative SoC solutions, we’re looking forward to hearing from you!
Responsibilities:
You will lead and run a growing project team of hardware design engineers, from hardware architects to those in the early stages of their careers, reporting to the Engineering Director. You will work with the wider organisation, including senior leadership and Arm partners to ensure that we are delivering the right solutions and help form teams to build them.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Experience in leading board design engineering teams, both technically and with strong people skills and the passion for individuals and teams to succeed.
* Comfortable at working with individuals of all levels, fields and customers/partners.
* Confident in development planning, tracking and resource estimation (people/equipment/costs).
* Flexible and adaptable to change, including the desire to learn new skills or technical areas.
* Recent direct experience of all aspects of the full hardware development and management, including NPI for embedded systems, ideally with ODMs / external design contractors as well as in-house teams.
* Fundamental understanding of compute architectures and functional building blocks.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:
* Experience of high-speed serial interfaces, for example, PCI Express or USB and memory bus technologies such as (LP)DDR4/5.
* Good knowledge of PCB design and layout requirements for high-speed digital design and design for manufacturing, including signal integrity analysis.
In Return:
You will gain a deeper understanding of system architecture and performance. Work alongside many other engineering teams including software, SoC implementation and verification, collaborating and enabling engineers and designers. Extending your board level design expertise, producing high quality designs incorporating Arm IP, you will enjoy new technical challenges faced when using advancing technologies!
