St Edward’s is seeking a talented and passionate Hockey Professional to join our team and play a central role in the coaching and development of our hockey programme.
With over 250 pupils participating in both indoor and outdoor hockey, we are committed to growing and enhancing the programme. Hockey is a core sport for both boys and girls at St Edward’s, and you will play a key role in leading, planning, and delivering across all three terms.
You will coach across all age groups, with a focus on performance-level hockey. The girls’ hockey programme runs primarily in the Autumn Term, with a select group continuing into the Spring Term alongside the boys' programme. You will also lead advanced pre-season programmes for both girls in the Summer Term and boys in the Autumn Term.
Working closely with the Head of Hockey, you will contribute to the strategic growth of the sport, support the development of coaching staff, and build strong links with local clubs and academies. You will also collaborate with Beyond Teddies, our development and partnerships department, to extend the programme's reach within the local community. Additionally, your role will involve inspiring and driving success across all levels of the hockey club, while assisting in the recruitment of young, talented athletes to the School.
We are looking for candidates with experience in playing or coaching performance-level hockey and a deep understanding of technical and tactical strategies. While a high level of hockey expertise is essential, we highly value candidates who also possess knowledge and expertise in cricket.
